Pramono Wants to Realize Decent Education through Anak Sejahtera Park Inauguration

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung launched Arutala Anak Sejahtera Park in Kebon Bawang, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, Monday (5/5).

Pramono said the construction of Anak Sejahtera Park is part of his 100-day quickwin program. This park aims to provide educational services and fulfill daily needs for children from underprivileged families registered in the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS).

He is targeting to construct 44 similar parks in every districts of Jakarta. There are already three parks operating. It is hoped the park can be added up through support from Baznas Bazis, BUMD's CSR, and CSR Forum.
"I already instruct Health Agency Head to provide one Anak Sejahtera park in every district," he added.
The park constrution used budget from Jakarta Baznas Bazis, CSR, and City Budget. He hopes that children from underprivileged families can have the same opportunity to achieve their dreams and improve their quality of life.
"I hope they will also get KJP at elementary and junior high shool levels later on," he continued.
Jakarta Social Agency Head, Premi Lasari stated Anak Sejahtera Park functions as a daycare that provides education, a place to play while learning, and fulfills daily needs for children.
"Only children registered in DTKS can enter the facility. This is part of an extreme poverty alleviation program," Premi stated.
Pramono will also review the daycare at City Hall as the example for other daycares in Jakarta. Pramono wants to ensure the quality of education and child care facilities in Jakarta.
"I appeal daycare at City Hall as the example for others," he said.
